On Tuesday The Godrej Family Split their Empire into two Groups i.e. Godrej Industries Group and
Godrej Enterprises Group

This move is likely to have been carefully considered and could potentially have various implications for both groups, including their management structures, strategic directions, and market focuses.

Mr. Pirojsha Godrej poised to assume the role of chairman of Godrej Industries Group from 2026.

Nyrika Holkar's emergence as the face of Godrej Enterprises Group signifies a generational shift in leadership and management within the Godrej family. As the daughter of Smita Godrej Crishna, she brings her own vision, expertise, and energy to the group, potentially shaping its future direction and strategies.

Nadir Godrej will be the chairman of Godrej Industries Group (GIG). This group includes major companies like Godrej Industries, Godrej Consumer Products, Godrej Properties, Godrej Agrovet, and Astec Lifesciences, as well as Godrej Seeds and Genetics, Innovia Multiventures, and all their subsidiaries and joint ventures.
Pirojsha, Godrej, who will become the executive vice-chairperson, is going to take over as the chairperson from Nadir in August 2026, as stated in the announcement made by the Godrej group on Tuesday.

Currently, Pirojsha serves as the executive chairperson of Godrej Properties, Godrej Housing Finance, and Godrej Fund Management. He also holds a non-executive director position at Godrej Consumer Products and Godrej Agrovet. Pirojsha graduated from the Wharton School of Business in 2002 and joined Godrej Properties in 2004. He was appointed as the chief executive of the real estate development firm in 2012 and became the executive chairperson of Godrej Properties in 2017.

On the flip side, the Godrej Enterprises Group, owned by Jamshyd Godrej and his sister Smita Godrej Crishna, will now be overseen by Jamshyd as its chairperson and managing director, Nyrika Holkar as executive director, and their close family members.

Holkar, who graduated from Colorado College in the US and later got law degrees from University College London, UK, became a member of the board of Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Company in April 2017.

Nyrika Holkar graduated from Colorado College, US and got Degrees of Law from University Collage London.
