Narendra Modi will take the as a Prime Minister of India on the 8th in June. After Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Narendra Modi will become the second Prime Minister to serve a third term.
The President of the United States, Joe Biden, the President of Russia,
Vladimir Putin, and several other prime ministers and presidents from various
countries have sent congratulatory messages to Narendra Modi.
Presidents and prime ministers from neighbouring countries and some other
nations will be present at the swearing-in ceremony. The President of Sri Lanka
and the Prime Minister of Bangladesh will also attend the ceremony.
In Narendra Modi's new cabinet, some familiar faces are expected to return,
but there is also a possibility that new faces will be given an opportunity.
There is a possibility that Shivaj Raj Chavan might get a position in the
cabinet this time.
There is a possibility that Smriti Irani will get a ministerial position
again, even after losing the election. Along with her, Nirmala Sitharaman and
the Foreign Minister, Subramanyam Jayshanakar are also likely to retain their
ministerial positions once more, along with Nitin Gadkari. Gajendra Shekhawat's
name is also being considered for a position in the cabinet.
On the day of the election count, Modi ji mentioned in his speech that he has a
plan ready for his third term. It will be interesting to see what plans he has
for the common man, taxpayers, businessmen, and new start ups in his third term.
However, this time, the BJP does not have an absolute majority. Running the
government with the support of NDA members will be a challenging task for Modi ji Accommodating Nitish Kumar's demands, such as the Lok Sabha presidency and
cabinet ministry, would pose a significant challenge for the BJP.
Given the presence of NDA members, including Eknath Shinde- Shiv Sena,
who are also seeking ministerial positions, and considering the fact that the
NDA has approximately 40 MPs, it could be a challenging task to fulfil
everyone's demands. The BJP might have to employ a strategy similar to the one
utilized during the Vajpayee government to effectively handle this situation.
It's being reported that even the TDP has expressed interest in the position
of Lok Sabha President this time around. The position of Deputy Speaker of the
Lok Sabha has been vacant for five years. It's possible that this position
could be filled by an ally of the NDA.
The upcoming Lok Sabha composition and who will occupy key positions like
Lok Sabha President and Défense Minister, as well as who will be assigned the
Railway Ministry, pose significant challenges for Modi and his government. Of
course, everything will become clear after the oath-taking ceremony on the 8th.
Then we'll know who gets what position in the cabinet.
