40 Indians killed In Kuwait in fire incidence.


A fire broke out in the kitchen of a building in southern Kuwait, resulting in the deaths of 40 Indians and injuring more than 30 others.

A fire broke out in a six-story building, originating in a kitchen, resulting in the death of 40 people. According to officials, around 160 individuals were residing in the building at the time of the incident.

Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar said that the Indian ambassador visited the site. The Indian embassy in Kuwait has issued an Emergency helpline number: +965-65505246. The embassy is prioritizing attention to the incident and is actively providing assistance.

The Indian ambassador to Kuwait, Mr. Adarsh Swaika, visited the site of the incident. The injured Indian workers have been admitted to Al-Adan Hospital, where they are receiving treatment. He personally went to the hospital to inquire about the condition of the injured.

The Ministry of External Affairs has announced that Junior Foreign Minister Mr. Kirti Vardhan Singh will travel to Kuwait to assist the injured Indians.

Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad al-Yousuf al-Sabah personally visited the incident site and ordered an investigation. The building was overcrowded with workers, and authorities had issued warnings to them multiple times.

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee expressed her condolences on Twitter, and her Chief Secretary has been directed to provide necessary assistance to the affected families.

 Congress leader Shashi Tharoor commented on the Kuwait fire incident, expressing deep sadness over the loss of lives and injuries. He urged the Kuwaiti government to take strict action against those responsible and provide compensation to the families affected by the tragedy.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has instructed the Indian authorities in Kuwait to give immediate priority to assisting the injured and the relatives of the deceased in whatever way necessary
